Starting my home business took courage, confidence and motivation. I have what it takes to take daily action to grow my online business. Do you have what it takes to run your own venture?
Are you one of those people who wake up one Saturday morning and decides to enter the world of online business: where you set up a table in the kitchen, in the corner somewhere, and you place on it a computer and get an Internet connection, and you think you are ready for online success?
Then a couple of days later you unexpectedly notice that you're not sitting at that kitchen table as often as you used to, and when you do, the drive to work on your venture is not as intense anymore. And within a month or so, you abandon the 'my home business' idea as something that is just not you.
Why do you think that is? Why do you think having your own business is not you after all? What happened to your initial burst of enthusiasm?
You stopped taking action because you do not have the successful business mindset. If you did, passion, motivation, confidence, self-belief and perseverance will carry you through the 'down times': the times where you were not motivated, were not in the mood, or when you stumbled into an obstacle.
The secret of successful people is simple: they have the mindset of success. They believe in themselves and in the service that they provide; they are motivated to take action every day, and they overcome any challenges that they face. Their passion shines through any and all storms.
If you say to yourself: "I want to start my home business, and I will make it a success no matter what," and casually take action, you will never be successful. There is more to succeeding at a business than just declaring that you want to start one. Understanding the success mindset is your first port of call.
What does your mind have in store for you when it comes to success? Have you previously started a project and quit soon after? How many times have you done that? Have you worked very hard on a project and couldn't make it a success? If you did, you probably have certain success beliefs working against you. These sabotaging, limiting beliefs show up in various ways: through lack of action, reduced enthusiasm, low self-confidence, and more.
Knowledge is important, planning what you have to do is equally important. But you cannot place a plaque outside your door saying 'My Home Business' and expect to be successful without having the success mindset.
